Big Name Convention Skipping a Year

Well folks one of the big conventions, and most concentrated conventions for a single company BlizzCon will not be happening this year. With all the craziness and releases that Blizzard has lined up for this year they have decided that their schedule is too jam-packed with stuff to give their all in a convention or meeting deadlines. Personally I would rather them release Diablo 3 to me so that I can play the hell out of it instead of going to the convention, but maybe that's just me.
The one year I went to BlizzCon I found it to be an amazing, very well organized, convention, that I hope I can come back to some day in the future. For me its not a convention you go to every year, and with that said, I reiterate the fact that I'm A-OK with Blizzard deciding not to host it this year.

On the bright side, there's always other Cons like PAX to attend, which doesn't look to be going away any time soon. I wonder if this open the door for another company step and create a Con in the California area...
