Hangman for I-Phone Review

In the latest batch of games released on the apple website to try this one, Hangman for iPhone, is probably the strongest game of the bunch.

As you can see the design is pretty simple. You have all the letters at your disposal and you're going to be guessing a word with the number of letters cooresponding to the number of dash present. I do like the artful touch when the hangman starts to appear, he's holding an iPhone. I do however see that as a double edged sword. What are the creators trying to say here, are they saying that this game version is exclusive to iPhone so they put on in, or are they trying to say that this man uses an iPhone and therefore hung himself because he couldn't guess a word right.

I like the fact that is game keeps up with how many times you guess the word correctly (wins) as well as how many times you didn't (kills). The again the word "kills" might not be the best choice of words. I really think it today's society that not only is it about the graphics of what you see but its also the wording and context that surrounds what you see in a game.

Overall this game is solid, I think that if you like hangman, or games where you have to guess at a word you'll enjoy this rendition. I only caution you to one thing, the game's vocabulary is very impressive, and there might be times, if you don't know the dictionary like the back of your hand, where you're not even going to know what the word is that you didn't get correct, or that you did get correct.

If at all possible I'd love to see something along these lines for a game, but with the change in wording, and maybe if they are going to use such a vocabulary maybe a functionality where the player can look at the definition of the word if they so choose to do so. I can be entertaining and educational.
